Urinary Tract infection: Urinary tract can be infected in any of its parts, mainly due to bacteria. The main bacterium that causes UTI is Escherichia coli, which is a coli form bacterium. Urine can contain a wide variety of components like water, salts, fluids and other waste products, but not bacteria. Bacteria once present in the tract can reach other organs like kidney and result in infection. There are several forms of UTI present; acute cystitis, pyelonephritis etc.
